Our research and data analysis expertise enables us to incorportate a variety of data analysis and reporting features into our databases to ensure our clients' systems meet their management information needs. Our philosophy is to make our database interfaces as user friendly and accessible as possible. To achieve this we work closely with the end users of the database and utilise good design practices that are informed by recognised standards, such as those of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) and the E-GIF framework. We concentrate on functionality and efficiency. We focus on producing a professional looking interface that incorporates intuitive navigation and clear and concise presentation of information. custom database pricesOur prices for databases start at as little as £500 ex VAT for a simple Microsoft Access standalone database. database design & developmentWe take take a systematic approach to database development, working with our clients to identify and understand their needs and the scope of the database system they require. Just like architects develop plans for a building in consultaion with their clients before any building work commences on larger we utilise proven systems analysis techniques, such as the UML and Yourdon, to reach an agreed design for the system before we start its physical development. Time spent at this initial design stage is time well spent becuase it helps to ensure that the developer and the client have a shared understanding of the system to be developed and in so doing reduces the risk of increasing development costs when fundamental changes are required late in a system's developent due to factors that were not identified at the planning stage. database maintenance and supportWe recognise that our clients database systems need to evlove to meet their changing needs. At MAC we believe in supporting our clients through such changes, to do so we offer a range of services to provide support to existing products including the addition of new queries and reports and redevelopment of existing systems. We also offer on-site training in the use of any system we develop. Amendments to existing queries and reports start from £25 ex VAT and the development of new reports and queries from £50 ex VAT. database integration with web sitesWe are able to combine an expertise in database development with an expertise in web site development to build web interfaces for databases that need to be accessed over corporate intranets and the Internet in compliance with the UK Government's E-GIF standards. As part of our end to end service we can also register your domain name and host your database on our internet servers.
